Reading Response 10/7/19

This audio file is our interview with Eric Hansen, the worker of the Wahoo's Fish Taco vendor in the arbor. We want to integrate the audio into our story so that it can allow our readers to hear Eric's voice and his speech style. By understanding the way he talks, the readers will be able to understand his sentiment of Isla Vista more, as he maintains an enthusiastic and passionate tone throughout the interview.



Eric Hansen grew up in the Santa Barbara area and went to Dos Pueblos High School. Many of his stories and interactions with Isla Vista occurred as a high school student when him and his friends would visit the college town. This will provide some insight on his childhood.

Eric spoke about how Halloween has transformed into a much more restrictive holiday in Isla Vista, as it went from being full of excitement and festivities to a lockdown by the local police. These pictures will provide imagery for the difference in how Halloween changed throughout the years.







It's vital to include pictures of the beaches by Isla Vista, as that was one of the primary reasons that Eric mentioned in why he is staying around in his hometown. The weather and the beach feel like home to him.
