Design Blog #4

I want my blog to be a medium for readers to reach into my mind and understand the thoughts and experiences that make me who I am. I am someone who thinks deeply about the world that I am in, and what the world can become. I chose to make my course blog a darker theme since it resonates with my personal style; I typically spend my time reading during the dark nights where all my applications on my phone are switched to dark mode. The dark theme makes me feel that I am purely focused on the white text that is provided while I am reading in a dark room. I added blue for the relaxing color tone and altered the shade to be a more pastel tone-- my favorite shades of colors. The image provided in the beginning is of a peaceful lake, which I believe represents my personality and evokes serendipity in the page. While scrolling through my course blog, the readers will be able to clearly see the main posts and the images that it provides. I was successful in creating a color scheme that fits me, but the layout of the blog was difficult to alter. I am also unfamiliar with certain fonts, which I understand are a huge component of any sort of creative writing. I have a strong vision for what my course blog can be, but I lack the technical skills to actually implement the changes. With practice and effort, I believe I will be able to transform my blog into exactly how I would want it to be. I want to be able to find pictures that I have taken myself and upload them to the blog background. Currently, the pictures I upload turn out blurry due to the scaling. I want the pictures to guide the readers into the right state of mind that will intrigue them about the other pieces of writing in my course blog.
