Christina V. Cedillo argues that the information that is given on technological platforms are still bound to hierarchal social norms. She indicates that the technology is also subject to the divides caused by socioeconomic standards, which places restrictions on how information can be perceived. The multimodal home place is a structure that connects the personal ties, cultural and communal values, and linguistic conventions that relates to an individual. It is important for writers to be mindful of the minoritized and underprivileged population and to focus on providing stories that can bridge the gap between diversity, literacy, and technology rights. By understanding the significance of the multimodal home space, writers should be aim to write towards a wide range of discourse communities, which will ultimately increase the rhetorical awareness of those unfamiliar with the subject. I'd like to ask the class about what instances of writing did they felt that the author created a barrier that made the text difficult to understand?
